Hydroponics is simply funtastic

        R&D Aquaponics the hydroponic company has provided the home hobbyist with their essential requirements for propagation, cloning of plants, growing of indoor plants, flowers and vegetables since 1969.

          We supply a range of liquid nutrients for growing a wide range of crops, vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruits, bulbs, etc. There are general purpose plant nutrients and nutrients for specific plants. There are one part complete nutrients and the two part A&B nutrients. There are nutrients for Total Growth and nutrients for stimulating flower and fruit development, and plant nutrients.

               We supply a range of hydroponic garden kits and accessories. The two simplest systems are the mini hydroponic garden kit and the hydroponic aqua garden kit. The mini garden kit consists of a tray with a drainage hole about 2cm from the bottom on one end, growing media of a perlite and vermiculite growing mix, 1L total growth hydroponic nutrient solution, and simple instructions to feed once or twice a week. The aqua hydroponic garden kit is a simple garden kit consisting of a foam tray with a lid to hold the plants, the total growth hydroponic nutrient (1L), and NFT cups to hold the plants. Both can be used to grow herbs, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, etc.

               We also supply other kits including flood and drain hydroponic systems, aeroponic systems, drip feed hydroponic systems, and many more.

                 There is a wide range of hydroponic growing medias and hydroponic potting mixes and in various pack sizes. We have the cocopeat blocks and expanded coco peat. We stock perlite, vermiculite, and the blend of perlite and vermiculite. We also stock expanded clay or LECA (light expanded clay aggregate). Another growing media is rockwool or growool which comes in various forms such as granulated, plain and wrapped slabs, cubes, and in grow bags.

Plant propagation or cloning of plants is described in the free booklet "Growing Special Herbs" but include cost of postage. The propagation items or cloning items include Progel rooting hormone for stimulating plant root and shoot development in softwood and hardwood cuttings and clones. There is also the growing medias and the propagation medias including rockwool cubes and the PB21 slabs for seedlings and small cuttings and clones. Also there are the seedling trays and drip trays and clear domes for maintaining the humidity. We have heat mats to provide bottom heating during seed raising and striing of the clones or cuttings.

              There are a number of books that are suitable for the amateur hydroponic hobbyist and the professional commercial hydroponic grower. "Basic Hydroponics for everyone" is a good general book at a reasonable price followed by "Hydroponic Gardening in Australia" and "Hydroponic Crop Production".

               Then there are the control solutions such as pH up and pH down for the more professional hydroponic grower. There is the test solutions for standardising the testing instruments for pH control and conductivity control. And of course the various test instruments for testing pH and nutrient concentration.

                There are a wide range of plant accessories such as chain, fans, heaters, mesh pots, nursery pots, grow bags, panda film, timers, thermometers, reservoirs, graters, scales, drippers, hosing, tubing, and lots, lots more

                 Then there is the lighting for plant growth and plant flowering and the various power sources. In this range there are the various bulbs, ballasts, wattages, lamp holders, and shades and reflectors.
